Monrovia! Monrovia! Monrovia!

My beautiful little read-headed sister just tried out for her middle school cheerleading squad. I knew she was going to make it, so I made a cupcake with a gumpaste figure of her! So when she got home and found out that she made the squad- I gave her this cupcake! I had to use a toothpick for the arms, but I think it turned out really cute!

Spring is in the air!

I had some left over gum paste from another project and as I was playing with it these little birds kinda formed themselves. They are so tiny and so CUTE! I love them! Perfect for a baby shower! Or they could be LOVEbirds... get it? P.S. that is a mini cupcake and my hand to show the scale.

Little Boy Blue

I am so proud of the way this cute little guy came out. I love the little cottontail and the cute stiches. I think he would be the perfect topper for a baby shower. I am going to try out other animals. It will be hard to top this little Peter Rabbit! :)

Little Rosie

I made this little gumpaste rossette for fun. It turned out really cute and the leaf was a nice touch. A little cartoonish, perfect for any princess or butterfly party!

8 is great!

My little brother is getting baptized this November and I was thinking of what kind of cupcakes I could make for him. So, I decided to practice my numbers with gumpaste. I am pretty pleased with the way this turned out.

Today's post is brought to you by the letter "N"

I wanted to try fondant letters so I picked a random letter (N) and made the cupcake for a little girl. I think it turned out really cute!

Smooshy again

Same thing happened with this blue beauty. I guess today was not my day. I still thought the blue turned out a gorgeous shade!

Smooshy

I am totally sad about this picture because this little mini had the most beautiful swirl ever! And right as I went to take the picture it fell over! Smooshy... Oh well, the sugar looks good in this picture.

I'm not sure

I thought the frosting turned out pretty darn perfect, but that was just too boring to leave it like that. So I put on red sugar. Still not exciting enough. So I added black sugar. It needed something else. So I made a gumpaste flower and stuck it on the top. Perfect. But perfect for what?

A little late

I got these sprinkles on sale last week, so I decided to play with them a little and here is my favorite out of the bunch.

Two-Toned Frosting

I think this mini cupcake looks like the top of an ice cream cone. Ya know, the swirled ones? It is actually two-toned white and purple vanilla frosting. I think it turned out pretty cute. I could do any color combination.

Bored last night

There is not a lot to say about this one. I was bored last night and made this little gal. The all pink one that looks like a snowball is covered in sanding sugar. It would make a good accent to another designed cupcake.

Pink is my favorite color!

In case you couldn't tell from the blog colors, I love the color pink! I made this mini cupcake for fun, for me! I thought it was so cute with its pink buttercream frosting and little hearts!

Lyle, Lyle Crocodile

I had some leftover green gumpaste from St. Patricks Day so I decided to make a little Crocodile... or alligator. Whichever. Marbled blue and white vanilla frosting with gumpaste figures, and the cross hatching on the back of the reptile is accented with cinnamon. I love his little snaggleteeth.

St. Patricks Day

I love this holiday! I didn't have any sprinkles, so I made due with gumpaste shamrocks. The cupcake batter was dyed green and my little brothers thought they looked like Shrek cupcakes.
